Company Profile. “Just Do it” in sustainable aviation fuel:  SkyNRG

As a follow up of the KLM demonstration flight, KLM Royal Dutch, North Sea Group and Spring Associates founded SkyNRG, a Joint Venture with a single mission to make the market for sustainable and affordable aviation fuel. After ASTM certification of HRJ fuel is settled, the next big challenges are to bring down the cost and getting structural legislation in place.  Although all players believe cost will eventually decrease when technology and scale advances, the founders realised a “just do it now” attitude was required to speed up this development. In this light, first commercial volumes are essential in engaging investors, governments, NGOs and customers and accelerate a market tipping point.

To create these first volumes, SkyNRG has taken a downstream, bottom-up approach and are aggregating demand from aviation players across the world. We literary help “make” the market by delivering a full “feedstock to flight” proposition powering structural “green routes” across the world, whilst doing everything possible to keep it affordable for the customer by smart supply and partner strategies. Currently SkyNRG is the global market leader and supplies fuel to all continents in the world to over 15 Aviation Customers.

On top of selling and promoting sustainable aviation fuel, SkyNRG is putting a lot of effort in guaranteeing sustainability as they believe it to be the most crucial factor in making this emerging market a success. Job Profile

You are responsible for all operations from production to the end customer e.g.

• Shipment of the fuel and all associated logistics, managing cost & global inventory
• Customs
• Quality assurance processes
• Airport and into wing Delivery
• All customer contacts related to Operations

You play a key role in a small, enthusiastic, fun-loving and highly ambitious company. You report to the COO.

Key Criteria

The ideal candidate possesses the following key qualifications:

• Experience in global (Jet) Fuel logistics
• Fluency in English, language skills complementary to the team are very much appreciated (particularly Spanish, French, Chinese, Dutch)
• Strong customer focus, ‘can do’ mentality, great social skills, likability.
• Can deal with (likes!) a start up environment
• Fulltime but flexible working times
• Willing to live in (close to) Amsterdam
• Willing to travel occasionally
