Our Mission

SkyNRG was launched following the KLM biofuel test flight November 2009. Founding partners are AIR FRANCE KLM Group, North Sea Group and Spring Associates.

Our mission is to help create and accelerate development of a market for sustainable jet fuel. Fuel which is safe, sustainable and affordable.

We intend to achieve this by way of:

Global sourcing and marketing of sustainable jet fuel;

Promoting R&D throughout the entire supply chain (‘well-to-wing’), advancing the technical certification, economic viability and sustainability of next-generation aviation fuels

Pushing for mechanisms that help to create a level playing field for sustainable jet fuel

Find ways to finance the economic premium to be paid for sustainable jet fuel

SkyNRG will actively apply the framework laid down by the internationally recognized Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels (RSB) and the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Users Group (SAFUG) as a basis for sustainability and certification efforts.
