In 2012, SkyNRG joined forces with KLM through the launch of the KLM Corporate SAF Programme (formerly known as the KLM Corporate Biofuel Programme). The program offers KLM’s corporate clients the opportunity to fly on sustainable aviation fuels by absorbing the premium; the price difference between sustainable and conventional aviation fuels.
In return for their investments, companies significantly reduce their carbon emissions from business travel. The KLM Corporate SAF Programme (formerly known as the KLM Corporate Biofuel Programme) has the aim to accelerate the use and production of sustainable aviation fuel. By aggregating demand from KLM’s corporate clients, the program increases the pool of demand and helps to further bring down the premium.
Customers of the KLM Corporate SAF Programme include the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), ABN AMRO, Accenture, Arcadis, the Municipality of Amsterdam, Loyens & Loeff, the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure & the Environment (I&W), Air Traffic Control the Netherlands, the PGGM pension fund and the Schiphol Group.
