Synkero (SkyNRG Amsterdam)

Our facility in the Port of Amsterdam produces sustainable aviation fuel which has been converted from CO2 and hydrogen.

E-fuel from green hydrogen and CO2

Synkero was launched during the European Conference for Sustainable Aviation Fuel to develop synthetic kerosene and support the movement toward futureproof aviation. This e-fuel will be produced using green hydrogen, a combination of water and renewable energy, and CO2.

The factory, which is scheduled for completion in 2027, will produce 50,000 tonnes of SAF annually. Its location at the Port of Amsterdam allows it to take advantage of an existing kerosene pipeline to Schiphol airport, meaning it can be easily transported and used by airlines across this airport.

* This project is being carried out with Topsector Energy subsidy from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy
